Accessible tools and understanding to help parents and all who work with children

I have two copies so that I can share with family and friends. Craig’s experience as a therapist, school counselor and parent are like treasure. Each time I read a new section I’m better equipped for understanding a wider group of people. More importantly I have more empathy for children and families and a greater desire and ability to help them. I’m forever grateful to Craig for this.

    Educational and entertaining! Wonderful read!

This book is a must-read for any curious mind! I am a student physician seeking information on the social and emotional development of children so that in the future I may provide scientifically accurate yet practical advice to parents. This book gave me all of that information and more. While I am not a parent, this book is excellent in providing easily understandable scientific explanations about how a child’s brain develops and how this leads to specific behaviors. Then the book includes fun activities and different ways to connect with your child and encourage them to develop empathy, a particularly vital social and emotional skill. Finally, the book divulges the author’s personal learning experiences that lead to deeper understanding, compassion, and patience for children and for other human beings. You will be engaged from beginning to end!

Craig Simplifies, Defines and Clearly Directs the Most Confused and Weary Parental Unit!

Not only have we benefited from Wired and Connected as parent of a son with ADHD and DMDD , but were fortunate to have Craig as our family’s counselor for some time. Disruptive mood dysregulation disorde (DMDD) is a childhood condition of extreme irritability, anger, and frequent, intense temper outbursts. Knowing now our son’s mind works differently and how we could respond to it helped our family survive a wildly challenging upbringing to find our 15 year old son emerge with a collection of kind and intelligent traits we are proud of. Our son brings a heady collection of self-possessed emotions and drives that are unique and invaluable. He is also now growing an internal compass he will use to steer a lifetime growth… and he is now revealing to us that we can breathe and let go, degree by degree, and with confidence.
